The WebLogic Remote Console

As Oracle has recently released and certified WebLogic and several managed servers for Docker/Kubernetes deployment, Oracle has developed a remote console for monitoring WebLogic and the domain. Currently, the slim installer of WebLogic is the primary deployment method on Kubernetes and Docker and does not come with built-in monitoring tools.

The remote console runs as an application on your local desktop and displays the UI in your browser. It interacts with WebLogic via WebLogic Server REST APIs.

The remote console has the following features:

  • Ability to connect to multiple Administration servers with a single client.
  • Enhanced UI design.
  • Extremely fast startup.

Overall, the Remote Console assists in lowering the footprint and resource requirements of the full WebLogic deployment and is supported in 12c and 14c deployments.
