  1. Stop all managed servers and the WLS admin server.
  2. Backup your current setDomainEnv.sh file in <Middleware_Home>/user_projects/domains/<domain_name>/bin/
  3. Open and edit the setDomainEnv.sh file and locate the section JAVA_HOME=”${JAVA_HOME}”
  4. Either update the path to point to the new JDK or update the JAVA_HOME environment variable.
  5. Repeat for all applicable nodes.

For WebCenter Content:

  1. Back up the UCM_server1_intradoc.cfg file in <domain_name>/ucm/cs/bin/
  2. Modify the JAVA_HOME location as in the instructions above.
  3. Back up the intradoc.cfg file in <IntradocDir>/config/
  4. Modify the JAVA_HOME location as in the instructions above.
  5. Repeat the steps for both files on all applicable nodes.

Verifying JDK has been updated:

  1. Start up the admin server and all managed servers.
  2. Verify the new version of Java by logging into WCC in the browser and navigating to Administration -> Configuration for <instance_name> and viewing the version of Java listed.
